RF Warehouse System
The RF Warehouse System provides a wireless, real-time connection with remote devices to handle receiving, inventory, backstock management, and freshness date control. It facilitates receiving by noting exceptions (overages, shortages, unexpected product) to the original PO, and expedites up-to-date product availability. Current product availability is essential in providing high service levels and avoiding failure to ship product on the receiving dock, but not yet reflected in inventory.
RF receiving also handles UPC collection and maintenance. Due to the fluid nature of UPCs (new products, packaging changes, etc.), capturing and maintaining UPCs is an ongoing business challenge for distributors. RF scanning of product during the receiving process drives the accuracy of UPCs, which are essential throughout the supply chain.
Physical inventory and cycle counting via RF scanning devices offers an efficient method for maintaining perpetual inventory. Count variance reports are available to help your staff validate inventory counts prior to posting.
Backstock management is an important facet of warehousing when a finite amount of space exists. With RF, scanning devices are used to put product in back stock locations and replenish pick lines from back stock as picking slot quantities are reduced.
Combined with RF receiving, freshness date control facilitates the receiving and stock rotation of code dated products.
DAC Delivery Manager
DAC Delivery Manager is a comprehensive route delivery system that ensures accurate customer deliveries with electronic signature capture, A/R collections, driver returns, and tote accountability.
Delivery Manager is tightly integrated with other DAC applications, runs on any device with a browser, including smartphones and tablets, and supports Bluetooth scanners.
Returns Management
Product returns are scanned, and an authorization document is produced for the next scheduled delivery. Products returned to the warehouse are scanned again, and only items purchased from your company are accepted for credit.
A put-away document is generated for products that are saleable, and inventory is adjusted automatically. Non-saleable products are moved to return locations for valuation and disposal or vendor pickup.
A credit memo is automatically generated for the amount based on the last price paid for the returned items. DAC Express and DAC Connect are designed to work seamlessly with DAC ERP’s Returns Management to initiate credit requests.
CountRight Interface
The CountRight Interface offers a user-friendly interface to ProCat’s advanced solution, which is designed for cycle counting. This efficient inventory verification system streamlines the process by leveraging the latest in hands-free scanning technology.
PickRight/LoadRight Interface
This feature allows for seamless real-time data transfer between the DAC and ProCat’s innovative PickRight systems. The latter is a state-of-the-art wireless picking system that is enhanced by a hands-free scanning device, optimizing the efficiency and accuracy of order-picking processes.
Additionally, this module extends its support to ProCat’s LoadRight product, further enhancing logistics and distribution operations by streamlining the loading process. This integration ensures data accuracy and operational efficiency in real-time picking/packing, making it a valuable logistics and warehouse management tool.
ReceiveRight Interface
The integration with ProCat’s solution facilitates the process of receiving products into the warehouse by enhancing accuracy. This is achieved by meticulously scanning UPC codes on every package, ensuring that each item is correctly logged and accounted for upon arrival. This system streamlines inventory management and reduces errors, making warehouse operations more efficient and reliable.
ShipRight Interface
This feature offers a seamless interface to ShipRight, ProCat’s innovative application designed for managing delivery route information. It provides detailed routing data and supports electronic signature capture, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the delivery process.
TaxRight/CheckRight Interfaces
This system provides a user-friendly interface to ProCat’s TaxRight system, specifically designed for managing tax stamping processes through a RED Stamp machine.
Additionally, it offers access to CheckRight, a tool to enhance order accuracy by verifying picking operations before orders are dispatched from the warehouse, ensuring that customers receive exactly what they ordered.
Velociti Alliance Interface
This feature provides access to Velociti Alliance’s innovative product suite, which includes PiecePick, CasePick, and SmokePick systems. These systems utilize advanced pick-to-light technology, optimizing the picking process for items like cigarettes. This technology streamlines warehouse operations, making the process faster and more efficient by guiding workers to the correct locations with visual cues.
Vocollect Interface
With the Voice-Directed Distribution system by Vocollect, distributors achieve increased productivity, improved accuracy, and reduced training time in their warehouse operations.
DAC is seamlessly integrated into the Vocollect system, providing two-way communication between DAC and warehouse personnel.

FAQs About DAC ERP's Warehouse Management System
What does DAC's warehouse management system cover?
DAC’s WMS covers the full warehouse operation for a convenience distributor — receiving, put-away, inventory control, picking, replenishment, backstock management, returns, and multi-warehouse transfers. RF scanning is integrated throughout, enabling wireless real-time transactions for receiving, inventory counts, backstock management, and freshness date control. The system supports dynamic put-away, picking replenishment, and cycle counting — the operational foundation for running a high-accuracy, high-velocity distribution warehouse.
How does RF scanning work in DAC's warehouse system?
DAC’s RF Warehouse System connects handheld scanning devices to DAC wirelessly, enabling warehouse staff to perform receiving, inventory, backstock management, and freshness date control transactions without returning to a workstation. During receiving, RF scanning captures UPC codes and notes exceptions — overages, shortages, or unexpected product — against the original purchase order. This drives UPC accuracy throughout the supply chain, which is particularly important in convenience distribution where packaging changes and new products are constant. Cycle counting and physical inventory via RF scanning provide an efficient method for maintaining perpetual inventory accuracy.
How does DAC handle backstock management in the warehouse?
When pick slot quantities are reduced during picking, DAC’s backstock management system prompts replenishment from back stock locations. RF scanning devices are used to put product into back stock and to replenish pick lines, creating an accurate trail of where product is located in the warehouse at any time. This is particularly relevant in convenience distribution warehouses where finite space and high SKU counts make backstock organization a daily operational challenge.
What third-party warehouse systems does DAC integrate with?
DAC integrates with several ProCat warehouse automation systems: CountRight for cycle counting, PickRight for wireless pick-to-voice or pick-to-light guided picking, LoadRight for streamlined loading operations, ReceiveRight for enhanced receiving accuracy via UPC scanning, and ShipRight for delivery route management and electronic signature capture. DAC also integrates with Velociti Alliance’s PiecePick, CasePick, and SmokePick pick-to-light systems — particularly relevant for cigarette picking in tobacco distribution warehouses. Vocollect voice-directed distribution is also supported for hands-free warehouse operations.
How does DAC's warehouse system handle freshness dates for perishable products?
Combined with RF receiving, DAC’s freshness date control captures and tracks code dates for perishable products as they’re received into the warehouse. The system uses this data to drive stock rotation — ensuring older product is picked first — and to flag items approaching expiration. For convenience distributors handling food and beverage alongside non-perishable categories, freshness date control within the same WMS that manages all inventory eliminates the need for separate tracking processes.
Does DAC support multi-warehouse operations?
Yes. DAC supports multi-warehouse operations including warehouse-to-warehouse transfers and consolidated inventory visibility across locations. For convenience distributors operating multiple distribution points or branches, the system provides centralized oversight of inventory across the network.
